Hoping someone can help. I parked at the holiday inn near luton airport for around 25 mins whilst waiting for my mums flight to land.
i sat in my car, didnt leave it unattended and did not see the parking signs in the car park and have received a fine from parking eye
my car is a company car, registered keeper my employer.
Loathe to pay £60 for 15 mins - first ten are free.
Anyone got any recent advice?
Thanks for your help

Have you read the NEWBIES thread?
Have you tried contacting the hotel or their UK head office as Plan A?

Thank you @MothballsWallet .I have now looked at newbies thread (doh - my bad)and also the info on company cars. I'll go direct to the hotel. I dont mind paying a fair amount for 15 mins but the signage is awful!!!2

Hence the ticket.
You can of course complain to the hotel and or the CEO to ask them to cancel on the basis you would not use their hotels in future in fear of being penalised.
Check with your company their policy and do they authomatically pay and deduct from your salary

Just had a look up here on Google Streetview. So I'm guessing Patience Way which is a private road?
The carpark signs are not particularly great. They are in the end of bays every so often - but are on high poles at least 6.5ft off the ground. So if big cars or vans are parked in these road side bays you can't see them let alone read as there is a lot of text which is mainly small. Plus I could only see one sign on the T-junction off the main road which is a 30mph road and could easily be missed if your turning in due to the and if people are standing in front of it. I'll have a proper look again on my laptop as Google street view doesn't work as good on my phone.5 -

Good. If you don't get a landowner cancellation then you should appeal using one of the edna basher letters, not the appeal template in blue text. One of the edna letters is for fleet managers, so you want to use one of the other two.
Remember, in all communications you are the hirer/lessee and/or the day to day keeper of the vehicle. If you tell the hotel the identity of the driver, they may well pass it to ParkingEye, thus blowing your toes off with regards to a successful hire/lease car appeal.
You should also tell the lease company and your employer not to pay the charge, and that you are dealing with this.
On the matter of parking itself, it is not a fine, and the car was parked irrespective of whether the driver was sitting in it the whole time or not. People using the hotel car park as an airport pick-up/drop-off point is no doubt one of the reasons why a PPC has been introduced.
About nine million people a year get PCNs from unregulated private parking companies, so in future the driver should consider very carefully what they do when they enter private property in a motor vehicle.

It is not a fine, it is an invoice for a breach of contract. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.5

If not , they should name you as keeper hirer to PE first
If yes , did Parking Eye comply with POFA ? Yes or no ? No waffle , it's one or the other 🙃🙃
The Edna basher advice should be used , plus in future never enter private land without permission , foolish drivers fall into this trap daily up and down the country
Plus , what on earth Makes you think that 10 minutes are free ?
Where does it actually say that ?3 -
