Point me in the right direction if it's better suited to another forum. :) Do any of you use timers on your slow cookers? I ask because i'm having to warm the food up in the microwave with ours.…

A healthy 'full English'...
I suspect this has been aired more than once before... but, just in case, I thought I would share with folk the results of my recent scheming. Full English breakfast - images of greasy spoon cafes and the idea of a heart-attack-on-a-plate, right? Not necessarily. Here's what I've come up with: Egg.......... poached…

Weekly Flylady Thread 12th March 2018
What is FLYLADY? Well, it's our version of the US flylady idea - but we work on the principle that housework is not fun, it's boring, can be time-consuming, is often thankless but, unfortunately, necessary. It's here on Old Style to provide the support we all need and to make the whole task easier and quicker. We also…

Hello wonderful MSE'rs!! Apologies if this has already been asked. I've been reading the forums on and off for years and have read of the wonder of slow cookers but haven't yet invested in one. leftover fish and chips
So last night we treated ourselves to fish and chips as we're in the middle of a house move and didn't feel like cooking. Bought a portion for the friend who's helping us but he didn't want them so they're in the fridge. Can we do anything with them? Was thinking of scraping the batter off the fish and making fishcakes…
