Making a removable cover for a dog bed
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have a very large dog bed, similar in shape and design to this one but it's been attacked by various pets over the years and needs smartening up. Rather than replace it - being very large it's also very expensive - and I'm not sure the latest little darlings are over their…

loaf cake?
I often make a loaf cake to slice and put in the freezer so we can take out a slice or two at a time (otherwise we'd eat the lot at once!) but was just wondering, can I make any cake in a loaf tin? I know it sounds daft, but I thought if it's deeper, it might not cook through in the same way it would in a sponge tin (or…

Tinned Cherries
Hi all, Opened a tin of cherries last week for pancake day but only used some... Transferred the rest with the syrup into a container and put in the fridge. Wanted to use them tonight for baking some brownies but just thought they might not be safe now after almost a week... Any thoughts? Thanks, Kevin

Horrible plug holes
I have tried cleaning the plug holes in the kitchen but struggle to do it effectively. Gas Hob heats up pans slowly
Hi All, I had a Neff Gas cooker hob when I bought my house 12 years ago which cooks food nicely. 18 months ago, I had a handyman in my house to fix things for me and I ask him if he can change the Cooker hob for me and he said "Yes". I rushed to B&Q and bought a cheap hob for £80 and he changed it for me. I changed it…
