Freezing avocados

I can occasionally buy eye wateringky cheap avocados at our local market if i buy more than I can eat in a week and wonder if there is any way I can freeze them without them going black and mushy.. Any recipes would be helpful.

Yes - you can.
I half and destone mine and freeze them with the skins on - then defrost and scoop the flesh into my smoothies.
The texture does change - but its fine for guacamole and smoothies.
