Thanks for starting us off this week Soworried
I'm off work sick and so will not be going shopping this week. I'm living out of cupboards/freezer with a friend bringing me milk later in the week. Thankfully I have got plenty in
I've got
in freezer -
2 southern fried chicken grills
2 garlic chicken kievs
1 portion HM chilli
1 portion HM meatballs in tomato sauce
2 medallion steaks
4 chicken breasts
oven chips
skinny fries
oven roast potatoes
frozen veg
sliced bread & bread rolls
In store cupboard -
quick cook spagetti
micro rice
curry sauce
hunters chicken sauce
fresh onions
tin chicken & veg soup
tin beans
tin sweetcorn
4 large potatoes
tin tomatoes
In fridge
fresh broccoli
cheese
milk
butter
peppers & corgettes
butternut squash
I'm not sure what I will eat on which day as it depends what/if I fancy eating ....but I can throw together some quick easy meals from that lot ...so am thinking:
1. chicken kiev or chicken grill, chips & sweetcorn
2. steak, skinny fries, sweetcorn
3. chicken breast, roast potatoes, veg & gravy
4. hunters chicken, potato wedges or jacket potato & roasted veg
5. chicken curry & rice
6. steak & stir fry peppers & corgettes & rice
7. HM meatballs with rice or spagetti
Breakfast/Lunches will be toast with marmite or cheese or beans, soup, jacket potatoes

It is a favourite in this house :j
The beauty of it is that you can throw in what ever needs used up.
I fry off some onions, garlic and a red pepper. Then I add left over or pre cooked rice and a teaspoon of paprika. Add a cup of stock and a grind of black pepper.
Throw in what ever meat you need to use, we like LO chicken and chorizo. Stir fry for 5-6 mins and then add a handful of peas and fry for another 2 minutes.
I've even made this with boiled eggs instead of meat as a veggie version£36/£240

I will be trying the jambalaya after our next roast chicken - thanks soworried.
Tonight was chilli rice & nachos, enough made to freeze a family meal plus 2 single meals
Tuesday - south indian lentil curry (from a packet, not something I usually do but we like this one)
Wednesday - freezer meal, choice of HM meals, everyone gets what they fancy
Thursday - Pasta & sundried tomato
Friday - Fish & chips (oven not shop bought)
Saturday - Shepherds Pie
Sunday - Toad in the hole0
