Slow cooker problem - help!
Hi all, could I ask a question please, does the meat in a slow cooker need to be fully covered with liquid? as that will require a hell of a lot of water if so, and surely it'll be too watery in that case? I have vegetables lining the bottom of my slow cooker, and wine/worcester sauce/water just about covering the…

My question is - does anyone know…

It is 20 cm, heavy with a very thick base, a glass lid with a thermo knob on it - an inbuilt temperature gauge. Basically, you cook in it and know what temperature the food is cooking at. It looks…

Sprouted Seeds??
I know some of you sprout your own seeds - what do you do with them?? I sometimes get a packet of sprouted seeds in my veg box (I've got one now) and I don't like them in stirfries, it's too cold for salads, only thing i could think of was to sprinlke them on top of pancakes as soon as I put them in the pan, IYKWIM.

The Knitters Thread
Following on from the recent thread about handknitting it is apparent that many of us OS'ers are also keen knitters. PMS Challenge October 2007
October already!! The year is flying by. Ok, how are your PMS savings going? I know it gets a bit harder at this time of year to squirrel away those savings with Christmas around the corner, not to mention Halloween :shhh: Fortunately, I do have a seperate budget for gifts, so I can still make, record and squirrel away any…

OS Monday 1st October 2007
Goooooood Morning fellow OS’ers :D :D :D I have slept (honest!) and I’m up for the duration now, although I might be lucky enough to cat nap a little later and before the pace of the day picks up. Just popping in to reassure those who were worrying that I’m still around, still OS’ing but don’t really have the time to post…
