Tumble Dryer fluff
I read on here some time ago that it's good to leave it out for the birds around this time of year... I saved up some and gave it to my mum a few weeks ago for her to put on her bird table... She gets lots of different kinds of birds, we reckon they eat better than she does... anyway, they never took it... I've managed to…

Sewing question
I have some lovely embroidered mid-weight linen fabric that I'm thinking of making into a jacket. I just wonder if it would benefit from interlining, or whether I'd lose the feel of the fabric. It won't be a mega-formal jacket. This is the one I'm thinking of: http://www.habithat.co.uk/product_info.php/products_id/7723

cheap, easy family meals
Not being the best cook in the world I can't just throw a meal together. If anybody has any recipes for easy meals, not necessarily cheap but so I won't have to go and buy any ingredients that can only be used for this one meal. Everyday recipes would be great, I have recently done a successful shepherds pie that all my 3…

How do I reuse a big brown paper potato sack?
I bought one of those big £2.49 bags of potatoes from Morrisons and the last few are now bubbling away for mash tonight. any ideas how I can reuse the sack? It stands a good 2 foot high and is double thickness brown paper. I can't just shove it in the recycling, that's far too unimaginative!

Best EverTuna Pasta Bake
Napolina used to make a brilliant tuna pasta bake sauce but now it's unavailable. It was on my kids list of all time favourite meals:o . I know I should make my own, so has anyone come across this product and if so have they copied it. All I remember is that it was a really creamy tomato sauce with cheese in it, lemon and…

Pro`s and con`s.
What are your pro`s and con`s of having an old style husband/boyfriend? I`m currently single and loving it I might add! But when I decided to settle down again I`d quite like a bloke to be domesticated and have the same old style ways I`ve recently learnt from this board. There must be some irritating things about having…

Can you "cook" porridge in a flask?
Just wondered if you can you "cook" porridge in a flask? I was going to put it in a vacuum flask at night, using hot water and hope to eat it at work in the morning. I thought that I would use water instead of milk - don't want to make yoghurt by mistake! Maybe I will just give it a try and let you know. Minerva

Posh pasta sauce
Someone has given me a lovely jar of garlicky tomato pasta sauce. What can I do with it apart from just add it to cooked pasta. Son and BF will probably ask "where's the meat?" What can I add to it to make it more of a meal rather than a snack? I thought about adding some bacon, but what else?

Could be seen as an I wanna (I've also posted there) but I wondered if perhaps some people on this board might be able to help with the practical element of making adjustments to waterproof trousers. Star costume for 4 year old?
My daughter found out today that she has a week to produce a star costume for her 4 year old daughter for the nursery nativity play. She can do basic sewing, but also has a currently rather poorly 2 and a half year old, so I was wondering about using hologram paper. I've asked her to find out how robust it will have to be.…
