Posh pasta sauce

Someone has given me a lovely jar of garlicky tomato pasta sauce.

What can I do with it apart from just add it to cooked pasta. Son and BF will probably ask "where's the meat?"

What can I add to it to make it more of a meal rather than a snack? I thought about adding some bacon, but what else?

Add some bacon, sauteed onion, courgette and coloured peppers, yum!

You could make a tomato and sausage pasta sauce with it, or use it in a pasta bake with some meat if you really need meat in the meal.

Things you could add:

* Roasted veggies (asparagus, courgette, chestnut mushrooms, red pepper, artichoke hearts).

* Chopped olives, capers and chilli flakes to make a puttanesca sauce.

* Sauteed courgette and onion, swirl in some pesto and top with pine nuts.

* Roasted red, yellow and orange peppers with fresh basil.

You could also use it in lasagne, cannelloni or as pizza sauce.

I would add bacon to it, use some nice penne pasta and serve with a crisp green salad
