cricket players?
I hope I've got MATH fooled. I'm his wife and I usually post under the name madmummy so I registered again so that I can talk to all the old stylers without him easily spotting it. He also hates sports so he's unlikely to read this! I hope!?? You've all got to know him so well, so do you have any thoughts for cost…

Cosmetics Old Style - Saving money on cosmetics etc
I have a confession, I'm a total beauty junkie and I spend far too much on cosmetics. I was walking through town yesterday (trying to save the bus fare) and I wandered into Superdrug. To cut a long story short I managed to put £30 quids worth of stuff into that little basket. This is not a rare occurance, I've figured out…

Help - Milk has gone off..... ( sour milk or cream )
Is there anything I can use off milk for? I've got about 2 pints of it which only turned this morning and I haven't room for lots of scones :rotfl: I would usually just pour it away but I figured I should use it in something. Could I freeze it and then use it to make scones at a later date?

Fresh cherries - how to use?
Over the weekend one of my colleagues picked up a massive box of fresh cherries for £3 from the market. We've spent all day in the office munching our way through them, and as nobody wanted the last 60 or so, I offered them a good home... So, first and most urgent question - do they freeze well? (Some are threatening to go…

idea for improving OS forum
we are too clever for our own good. all our best ideas are taking up a hell of a lot of space in the form of stickies. and so there i was perusing some of the forums less-read (by me, anyhoo) such as credit cards, mortgages etc, and i noticed that they all have a little blue bar at the top of the page containing hyperlinks…

Freezing shop bought french sticks
I was wondering as husband came back with one from sainsburys for a whole 10p. It was reduced from 99p so it was a nice one. And said wonder if you can freeze them. Would have to be cut in half for us as we only have a fridge freezer. I suppose I could get one for that price and just try it anyway. Just thought I would ask…

Gifts
Hi, I've been having a look around the site and found lots of great ideas for gifts for other people. I've got lot's of "recycled" gifts in the form of bubble baths and smellies (which I'm allergic to) hence I don't use them and I intend on using them up in hampers for other people. I'm also thinking ahead to Xmas and will…

Hot fruit puddings

I'd like to make Tomato Sauce..anyone made it?
I fancy making home made tomato sauce, Ketchup stuff. Has anyone made it? I would appreciate a recipe if you have. My hubby was saying that the only thing missing from his chips last night (made with deep-fat fryer bought on sale at Makro) was some tomato sauce. I didn't have any in cupboard so it was just salt I'm afraid.…
