Appealing parking tickets
Just wondering if anyone has done this before and if so what success they had. Just picked son up from school and had to park close to chemist and leave him in car. Brake discs/pads - East Belfast Garages
After a servicing a few months ago a certain Garage give us a quote for 4 brake pads and labour for a crazy price! Pound shops - Are they worth it?
I bought a pack of AA batteries a month ago, they've leaked inside the remote control & the clock. At the same time I bought a pack of screwdriver bits for an electric screwdriver, the metal was so soft they were all worn out putting together one set of bedside cabinets. Not impressed - false economy.

Cheap tickets (e.g Waterfront)?
Does anyone know if it's possible to get reduced price tickets for events that haven't sold out - at the Waterfront, for example? Would love to go to a Christmassy show and they seem to have lots of availability for the Snowman tomorrow and for their panto in general, but can't really justify paying full price.

House Prices - using rateable value as a guide
In Northern Ireland we don't have a register of actual sold prices. Over on the HPC NI forum they are adamant that the best guide to use is the 2005 rateable value figure and buyers should be aiming for RV -10% to -20%. In my area (North Down) asking prices are all well above RV and there is no way I will be be able to get…
