Does every-one pay school fund contributions? - daughters grammar school has requested a £90 Voluntary contribution. Hearing whispers that not many actually pay it. I can afford to pay (Just) and know its all put to good use. Probably will pay, but just curious what other folks think about it

Carpet cleaning - hire machine or company and how much per room?
Hi, I was thinking of either hiring one of them carpert cleaners from Homebase or getting a carpet cleaning company to come and clean maybe 3 small carpets (bedrooms upstairs in a semi detached house). Does anyone know how much this would be about? and if it would be better to go with a company or the hired machines?
