We have the option of flying to spain with either easyjet or aerlingus with prices both much the same. Is there any advantage to using either one or other ?

  • As fas as I know, aerlingus has allocated seating once you check in so that would be the advantage instead of having to crowd round the gate before it opens....

yes, just flew with aerlingus. Would prefer that to easyjet although aer lingus is only budget service now anyway

check in on line, I think it is 30 hours beforehand, and pick your seats then

Aer Lingus wins because of the seat choice, means you don't have the scrabble for seats. You can checkin online and bag drop with both.

i prefer easyjet. you can check in online for the return flight before you go but with aerlingus its approx 30 hours before the return flight. we had to find an internet cafe to print our boarding passes for the return journey home.

If you have a baby Easyjet allows 2 pieces of baby equipment free of charge (travel cot, buggy, carseat, etc.) Aerlingus only allows one piece.

I have flown to the Algarve many times using both Aer lingus and easyjet and Aer lingus would def be my choice.:)

Aer Lingus every time for me. No headache-inducing dayglo livery (eww), even the crew are nicer and calmer. But the seat allocation is the big winner. I don't like airlines that don't do this.
