Phoenix Gas PAYG Unit Prices

Hey folks, I have a Phoenix Gas PAYG card which I recently topped up with £30
Volume credit 0055044
Now previously I had used all my reserve credit so it was sitting at zero credits, anyway I just put the card in the gas meter and it only credited my account with 55 Units????
That doesn't seem even close to right surely? Last time I put credit on must have been between January - March and £50 got me 130

unfortunately that is correct
£50 used to get you about 110-120 units
then Phoenix put the price up 39%
It now costs £69 to get the same amount of units.
30/69 *120 = 52 units0 -
I put £120 on my card the day before the price hike. Should be well into next year before i need to top up again.:beer:0

Hi guys, I was contemplating switching to Firmus from Phoenix. I'm a pay as you go customer. I was hoping I could switch over and top up a lot before any Firmus price hikes. Unfortunately I heard somewhere that Firmus are increasing prices by the end of September, so I'm guessing that by a time the switch took place I'd be being hit by the firmus increase? Does anyone know if I'm right in that assumption, or any other money saving ideas? Thanks, David0

I will say you are too late, its the 20th only 30 days in September can't see you changing over in less than 10 days.0
