Hi All I completed the purchase of a house at the end of November, the house has been empty/unoccupied from that date up until and including now. Today a rates bill arrived, there is 171.60 due by 17th February. Can this bill be deferred as the house has been empty and how often do rates bills get issued? Thanks in advance.

The light switch in our bathroom has stepped working, it just doesn't seem to "click" I have asked a local electrician who says it would need a new switch at about £3 but £25 for the call out to replace it. Recommdendations: Oil boiler replacement
