Just wondered does anyone here use a cleaner, or a cleaning company? If you do, is it worth it? Is it expensive? Would you recommend it?
Also has anyone used those ironing services you see advertised?

i think its only worth it if you have a lot of awkward things that need done, for example our rugby team obviously needs the kits washed every week and we get thouse done commercially by a dry cleaners, not only because of the new stretchy skintight material we use, but also because there are so many of them!!
if it were that case then its worth it, if its your own stuff at home, maybe not so much worth the money. a friend of mine uses an ironing service, and for just his shirts etc that he would use every day for work he spends £12 a week on ironing, for shirts trousers t-shirts etc, but could cost more than that depending where you go and how much you have!0 -

I have a cleaning company. I work long hours often away from home. It's £12 an hour and two staff come together (H&S security etc) so they do the work in half the time so to speak. They are insured, bring all of their own stuff and are CRB checked.GC Jan £318/£350, Feb £221.84/£300, Mar £200.00/£250 Apr £201.05/£200 May £199.61/£200 June £17.25/£200

I got a flyer through the door today promoting some new ironing service. I must admit to being tempted.0

I'm really thinking of getting a cleaner but am unsure of costs, I never get flyers or anything locally.
To be honest it's for purely selfish reasons. I want to get fit & get rid of all this excess fat, and I would like to commit to the gym/class/big walk/running or something active Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturday mornings. My DD has lessons on a thursday, my other half has his rugby on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday afternoons. I would like either myself or my OH to be with the kids, no babysitters. Realistically you see there is very little family time, and I can't decide to either sacrifice my time to cleaning and general domestic carp therefore no time at the weekends, or to sacrafice my health, looks and self esteem and enjoy the weekends with the kids.
I'm interested to see how anyone else makes this balance0 -
I have 10/15 shirts a week to iron, and so have recently started using an ironing service. They charge by weight, and for 28 shirts it costs around £19, these last my sons/oh almost two weeks, so to me that is money well spent, saves me a lot of time.....I do feel quite guilty though,:o and am glad when she brings them back in the dark, and I can't work out why.0
