Tips on buying trailers
Hi Looking to buy a trailer for garden waste, and am tempted by Halfords 102 trailer, at £275 all in for trailer, set up and number plate. However, the trailer is rather on the small side for what I would need it for, although it would be useful nonetheless to have. I'm therefore like to maybe buy a 2nd hand 6x4 one and am…

RAC, AA, Cheapest deal?
Just had my renewal quote through from the AA, £90 ! Stuff that. It's only £70 if I cancel it and reapply online (they'll usually beat the online price by about £5 by haggling). However, before I ring and haggle this time, I'm just wondering how much I could get it for elsewhere. Thinking about: Roadside + Relay. To be…

URGENT Car Insurance - Please help!
Hi everyone, OK I recently bought a second hand car and have not yet applied for the log book. The lady who sold me the car had it registered in her name (as she tells me) but did not have the log book to give to me so I have to get a new one. Therefore, she is still the registered keeper. Under my current insurance for…

Me and my children were last year involved in an accident in my car with a hit and run driver. I only managed to get a partial reg at the time but have a police ref number relating to the incident. Bought 2nd hand part with one month warranty
Bought 2nd hand alternator from scrapyard on 1stchoice.co.uk. They sent the part on 30th April, received on 2nd May. Car broke down tonight - alternator shot. I would say the 1 month starts from date of receipt of part which would mean I'm OK. Any other opinions? (I'd imagine the scrapyards opinion isn't going to be this)

Changing oil tip
When I change my oil I always flush afterwards, you can re-use flushing oil 5 times or more but I only reuse it once. And if you were to pass it through a filter you would have no problem re using 5 - 10 times, infact I think I might start doing that. Anyway, on a Corsa the sump plug is on the underside of the sump but…
