Tips on buying trailers

Hi
Looking to buy a trailer for garden waste, and am tempted by Halfords 102 trailer, at £275 all in for trailer, set up and number plate. However, the trailer is rather on the small side for what I would need it for, although it would be useful nonetheless to have. I'm therefore like to maybe buy a 2nd hand 6x4 one and am just looking tips on what's best: metal or wood, meshing or not, ladder rack or not, prices and other bits and bobs to look out for. I'm towing with a 1.6 petrol also.
Thanks
