Extended Warranty
My Renault Megane is just over 3 years old and I've been offered an extended warranty (not the manufacturer), it's £24.99 per month then £75.00 max charge to me per claim with the policy paying up to £3000 per claim. I know anything can go wrong as I work in the automotive industry but are these policies worth taking out?

Congestion Charge help!
Hello, Wondering if you can help, or if anyone can explain to me how congestion charging in London works? We went to London a couple of weeks ago and ended up driving through the centre (stupid sat nav) there were no machines or men to pay a congestion charge to at the time, so we presumed we were OK? Now I've got a letter…

Car insurance - time limit on a claim?
Hi, On the 9th of May last year I parked my car in a car park at a play park. When I came back to my car, the driver of the car in front was waiting and claimed I had touched his car when I parked. He had already moved his car away and just showed me a video on his phone of the two cars touching. I said I hadn't hit it but…

Worried daughter - please help to reassure her - soryy long post!
My DD, aged 17, took her CBT in September last year. DH and I, (both bike riders) decided that as her first bike we would buy her a safe, mechanically sound cheap bike as her first one. The idea being that if she dropped it at any point it wouldn't be too much of a tug on the purse. In October 2010, having spent some time…

MOT pickle...
Friend of mine up north is in a bit of a situation with an MOT. Took car to a garage (first time). Garage took an initial look pre-MOT and recommended that brake fluid and oil needed changing at some semi-extortionate cost. He refused. Neither needed changing (he knows enough about cars to know this, but nothing about MOT…

Supermarket price variations
Now, I know that supermarkets vary their prices from area to area depending upon perceived wealth in the area, but pertrol seems to be a little diffferent. Making regular trips to my in-laws' near Wigan I notice that their Asda tends to have the same price per litre as my local one in Glasgow. However, checking on…

I have a 2006 Renault Grand Scenic 1.6 petrol Dynamique. Last June when I got my MOT I had the air conditioning re-gassed. When I turned on the air con the other day the light came on but no cold air came out - it was just like the normal blower IYKWIM. I want to take it to get fixed but I have no idea how much it should…

I'm filling out a V62 form for the spare car sitting outside. It's a 2.0 litre standard 4 door saloon. Problem is I'm confused about the question asking for its tax class. I'm assuming I put down petrol car, right? Someone told me to put down PLG so I'm not sure.

Hastings Direct and Advantage Insurance Company
Has anyone used these? I've got a quote using a comparison site but have never heard of Advantage Insurance Company who underwrite the insurance which seems to be brokered by Hastings Direct. Car accident involving broken lampost
Hi - I'm looking for some advice concerning a car accident I had with a broken lampost. I parked on a privately-developed (ie, not council-owned) retail park car park, next to a broken lamp post, maybe three feet tall. The post wasn't cordoned off, marked in high-viz or surrounded by kerbing. When I returned to the car, I…
