Fixing air conditioning

I have a 2006 Renault Grand Scenic 1.6 petrol Dynamique. Last June when I got my MOT I had the air conditioning re-gassed. When I turned on the air con the other day the light came on but no cold air came out - it was just like the normal blower IYKWIM.
I want to take it to get fixed but I have no idea how much it should cost. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong and how much I can expect it to cost to fix - worst case scenario?
Thanks - I just don't want to get done as has happened in the past!

I had my C2 regassed (£45). Lasted a few months and ran out.
Had a leak check done (£70) last year which confirmed a leak.
Quoted (IIRC) £550 to replace hose and compressor - most of it was labour.
I now just drive with the windows down0 -
Depends entirely what is wrong with it.
Could be anything from a hose to a compressor.
I had a compressor replaced 5 years ago by a mobile air-con repair specialist, and, from what I remember, it cost me a couple of hundred quid.0 -

Couple of problems here:
If you had it regassed in June and it is now not working, then there is a leak somewhere. Pipe, joint, compressor, radiator etc.
The other problem I see if the lack of use your air con gets. If you havent used it since last June then it could be a dry joint thru lack of use.
Air con is meant to be used all the time. It's not just for summer months...
All this "it'll use more fuel" is just bollox. You'll use just as much fuel driving about with your windows and/or sunroof open as they cause drag.0 -
Thanks for the replies. I do use the aircon most of the time so I suspect that it has a leak. Where do I find a mobile air-con specialist? I've never heard of these.Jane
