We are looking for full cover the only thing we don't need is the european cover. We are willing to get cover on ourselves or the vehicles. I am just confused on who to go with.…

Beginner motorcycle?
My youngest has just hit 18 and announced that he plans to buy a bike. As there is no point in arguing with him we are settling with just making sure he does it the right way, safely, legally and with proper training. As we have no experience whatsoever of the world of motorcycles, can anyone recommend how we should go…

Bump in a car park
Hi, I'm sure this is covered already, but I've done a search and can't find an answer to my question. About an hour ago I was at the local Lidl supermarket and reversed out of a space. As I put the car in first gear to move forward to leave the carpark a man who had been parked in the opposite lane started to reverse…

Fuel filler nozzle mystery solved?!
The Daily Mail has revealed how you can tell which side of your car the filling nozzle is! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1280536/Has-motoring-writer-solved-riddle-plagued-drivers-decades.html A silly story, but I must admit I only realised how to tell recently. The secret is the little arrow on the fuel gauge…

Tyre load index basic question
Our car came 2nd hand with 225/45 R17 94W tyres fitted to the front. The manual says that it needs 91W. As we need to replace the fronts, we'll be practicing a bit of moneysaving by increasing the speed rating to Y (strangely they're cheaper and then, although not vital, they'll match the Ys on the rear wheels). But I…

I've been nice to a cyclist (twice)
First time he was on the main road so I waited for him to struggle up the hill, then struggle along in front of me, so I pottered along behind him, staring at this tight lycra bobbing from side to side (not nice) until it was really really safe to pass, and give him loads of room so as not to upset the violent weave from…

How far ahead do dealers know when new models are to be launched (VW)?
I've just found out that VW have withdrawn the Golf SE and replaced it with a Golf Match trim. I see it's all over the VW website and new brochures are available so I'm sure it must have been at…
