Don't have to pay parking tickets again!!!
Not exactly a freebie, but could potentially save you a lot of money. The site is http://www.appealnow.com and for only £7.99 a time, they will sort it out and try to get it appealed, without bothering you. I know it might seem like a lot, but considering how much you save compared to paying off a parking ticket, why say…

Neighbours putting their Christmas rubbish boxes on top of my car
What would you do if neighbours put their christmas rubbish boxes on top of your car? They were definitely doing this maliciously and seemed to find it amusing. I think they were doing this while dumping their rubbish on a favourite dumping ground in the local area. When went out and challenged them whilst in the act and…

Most money efficient car- for under a grand?
I need a new run-around. Petrol prices are soaring so this time round i've decided to look for something with a small engine to save money on tax, fuel and insurance. I'm not worried about its appearance as i'd rather have the saved cash in my wallet! Any ideas? So far a Citroen Saxo 1.0 seems a fair choice...but are their…

Hire car charge query
I've had a look at rental sites such as 1car1.com and Alamo and was alarmed to find that paying for Collision Damage Waiver still means that I'm liable to pay an excess (up to £650 I think) should I prang the car regardless of who's to blame. Have I understood this correctly?

MOT help!
Hi My MOT is due at the end of January and I'm considering the advice on these boards to take the car to the council MOT centre in the hope that I can save money. However, I'm unsure as to whether this will truly be cost effective as if it fails it's going to cost me loads more money than just taking it to Kwik Fit in the…

Because I had not changed my licence address, I only realised about the fixed penalty a couple of months later (and the fine was increased along with some red letters…

Park Ex Value
Hi, Just interested in peoples experiences when trading in their old vehicle at main dealers, so that I can work out my budget for a new car. Whatcar estimates the trade in value of my car as £5300. I wondered if those of you that had prevalued your car prior to visiting the dealer got that amount or sightly more, or less?…

Paying for a car - methods???
Hi, Just wanted to ask whats the best way to pay for a car. I've bought a car on private sale that I'm going to pick up tomorrow. The last car I bought I paid with cash that I had withdrawn. This seller though has told me something about it being 'dodgy' to pay for a 11,000 car with cash so he suggests I go into the bank…
