Corporate Petrol Cards
Hi We run a small company with one car (uses petrol) and one van (uses diesel). We currently use Arval petrol cards and I'm wondering if anyone knows how we can get it cheaper somehow. Arval just charge us the pump price. Is it possible to get fuel more cheaply on a card?

One for the Jeremy Clarksons ...
Hi, Am looking to downsize my car. The car I currently own is a Rover 200 vi, 1.8, which is worth c.£1000. The car value itself is not bad, but unfortunately I had someone run in to the back of me last year. They gave false details to the Police and as a result my insurance rose from £400 to £700. Anyone else been a victim…

free cars
I want to get one of these free cars. This is when you let a company wrap your car in adverts and they pay you or they give you a free car covered in ads. However the problem is the only way I can see to do it is to pay a website £17.00 for a list of companies in the u.k that do this. How do I know which companies are any…

Does anyone know of anywhere in the Lancashire/Manchester areas that do Motorbike clothing at reaonable prices. I'd really like women's clothing if possible but may find this difficult as I'm not a size 10. I looked at our local store in Bolton today and they had very little. I want good quality things but don't want to…

Even better deal than Martin recommends for vehicle recovery
The one Martin recommends is a 'you pay upfront and get reimbursed' deal including homestart which I think he says starts at about 32 (lots cheaper than AA or RAC) I just secured something even nicer from Green Flag, collecting a few offers. 1. Sign up through quidco for £20 discount 2. Get the GF 15% sign up online…

Petrol Consumption?
Is it true that petrol consumption of a car is more efficient the more the tank is full? I have heard this, although, logically, it does not seem to make sense. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

parking fine
on the topic of parking tickets, am I correct in saying that now you are not allowed to appeal until after the 28 days when you are issued with an NTO as opposed to the PCN? That sounds unfair to me 'cos if your appeal is rejected then you are stuck with an £80 instead of the £40 fine. Secondly, has anyone come across a…

Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place - feel free to move it. Can someone let me know who, when the strikes/panic over petrol prices starts, starts the panic? Pre-holiday breakdowns
Why do cars seem to break down just when you least need them to. Our Toyota Estima has served us faithfully for 100,000+ miles over the last six years but today the exhaust decided to fall to bits. Tomorrow we're setting off or a 500 mile drive to France  Of course it's an import so nobody has the bits in. Fortunately…
