Will moving impact my mortgage?
I have bought a HTB but it won't be ready to move in until November. I have not yet applied for a mortgage and my partner is moving to San Francisco in August and we are both moving out of our rented property due to our tenancy being up and I was going to move into shared accommodation. Will this impact anything?

Chances of being accepted with RBS
My self and my partner are first time buyers and both bank with RBS. About a year ago we had a chat with one of their mortgage advisors in branch who gave us an Agreement in principle up to £209k. How useful or not is an in-house current account?
To what degree does having a current account with a mortgage provider facilitate the mortgage application? For example, I have a current account with First Direct that never goes into overdraft but also does not have anything other than a trivial balance. My main account is with Santander which has a very high balance…

Credit check before completion?
So here we are waiting to exchange and complete. We had 28th of February as a completion date but didn't happened. On the day we received a text from our lender saying the funds are ready. Solicitor called to stop them. The new date for completion is 7th of March but we didn't exchange yet so I don't believe we will…

How does this work?
basic question ... Say you took out a mortgage for a house worth 80k in 2000. Today that same house is worth £300k, does your monthly mortage also increase? Or is the increase in house price pure profit which you can pocket? Basically, if house prices increase during the period you have a mortgage, do your mortgage…

Free credit reports
I currently use Noddle to keep track of my credit report but I know I should also check Equifax and Experian. I believe these both offer a free 30 day trial. Is there a way to access these reports without submitting payment card details? I'm (rightly or wrongly!) nervous of adding any more accounts to my profile right now…
