Quick question for any mortgage advisors on here... Once i've exchanged contracts, can the rate in my mortgage offer be changed by the lender? If they changed the rate of the product would I automatically switch to that rate or do they have to honour the rate in the offer? Thanks.

Stamp duty and concessionary purchase.
Yesterday we a formal mortgage offer from Nationwide. We are purchasing my parents property which has been valued at £350,000. The purchase price is £160,000. Am I right in thinking that we will pay stamp duty on the value and not the purchase price?
