Buying out ex...
Okay, so not sure if I'm in the wrong place. If I am, I apologise! So, about year ago, I split with my partner. I lived with my sister for 8 months, and now I'm renting. My ex and I "own" a 2 bedroom shared ownership property, mortgaged with Nationwide and the other half is owned by the council. From the start, I'd like to…

Anyone with any experience of the "low cost housing" scheme (Section 106)
I'd be interested to hear people's opinions on this scheme. I recently registered with the local council and was actually at the stage of putting in an offer on a home when a mortgage advisor told me that very few mortgage lenders are actually willing to offer mortgages under this scheme. Very frustrating as the scheme is…

Hello every one I am in a very fortunate position to own my flat via a mortgage but I also have a lot of cash to spare. I estimate my flat is worth around £165,000 on which my mortgage is £113,000 = 68% LTV. My issue is that I have around £20,000 in cash to spare. I'm only going to use that money to get another mortgage in…

We have a mortgage from First Direct. I asked for a further advance today, with the intention of purchasing a buy to let property with it as deposit. Hi all, I have been a registered sole trader since 2010 prior to this we had a mortgage granted on an employee basis. Help To Buy Phase 2 - predictions please!
Hi all, I was wondering if the mortgage experts out there have any feeling on: a) What sort of interest rate will lenders offer (based on 5% deposit and government guarantee of 15%) b) When we might see the deals appear? I'm aware that it is due to come in on January 1st and am looking ahead to next year! Thanks.
