Declaration of Trust in marriage
My question is regarding a Declaration of Trust. I got pretty badly stung to the tune of £33k with an ex girlfriend about 10 years ago and was subsequently told I should have had a "Declaration of Trust" drawn up. I am now married and in the process of putting £130k of my own money into a new house with my wife who is only…

Having difficulty remortgaging
Need a quick bit of advice please. We are in the market to remortgage as its due but we’ve been made aware by our broker that we will struggle due to affordability this time round (reduced earnings and CC debt) even though our LTV is sub 50%, but have been offered a good deal by our current lenders NatWest If this turns…

Remortgaging with low ltv but wanting to include extention
Hi there, I currently have 20 ltv. Our mortgage rate is not great so we are looking to remortgage. Is it possible to get a remortgage to include the money for an extension? Bearing in mind the extension should increase the value of the property and therefore maintain the ltv rate or possibly improve the ltv.

Nram - loyalty rate after 7 years
Hi I assumed that the .25% loyalty rate would be passed on to folks on together mortgage deal - the NRAM web site says no such loyalty rate would be passed on for this type of deal. Has anyone had this .25% rate passed on when they were on a together mortgage deal?

Small Overdraft Extension

Attempting to raise funds for a property purchase abroad. Any tips?
Hello all, So I need 40,000 quid to fund a purchase in Russia. I could get a Russian mortgage but at 11.5 percent I'd obviously rather not. I have around 20,000 equity in my UK flat so have considered remortgaging but it's still not quite enough. My parents have offered to help but they are pushing 75 and currently have a…

New mortgage deal with same lender - Will it require a revaluation?
Quick query, as I've come across a few differing views on this: I bought my first house two years ago. I went with an independant mortgage broker who got me a nice two-year fixed rate with Barclays (in hindsight a tracker would have been slightly cheaper, but at the time the extra security was definitely worth it for me)…

Little things adding up to equal refusal?
There seems to be lots of little things about our lives that add up to refusal of a mortgage, I suppose I post this as a warning to others and in the hope someone will tell me not to worry too much... My husband is in the military. This means we have had four addresses in 3 years. I don't work so all bills etc are in his…

Using mortgage for home improvements
Hello, I am thinking of doing some hefty home improvements and would like to know if I can borrow against the Future value of the house rather than current value in order to complete the work. The situation is simplified a bit - the neighbours with an identical house have done the work we want to do, so the "finished…

Great money maker , if your a lender
I have just "discovered" that my new mortgage lender is taking the money from my current account 14 days before they place it in to my mortgage account.
