Little things adding up to equal refusal?

There seems to be lots of little things about our lives that add up to refusal of a mortgage, I suppose I post this as a warning to others and in the hope someone will tell me not to worry too much...

My husband is in the military. This means we have had four addresses in 3 years.
I don't work so all bills etc are in his name-I'm a ghost! This creates stumbling blocks for money laundering and credit checks.
We have not updated the electoral register as religiously as we should- knowing you're only in a location for 6 months makes it seem irrelevant.
We have low deposit- 10%- that comes from the LSAP and a gift from my father as we have fallen in love with a property and weren't really 'planning to buy'

Halifax are processing our application now. We were turned down for an AIP from Abbey due to affordability. I read on here today that multiple addresses was an issue for Halifax and also received a 'validation letter' today. Is it worth me getting on the electoral register now or is it too little too late?

What we do have in our favour is that Halifax are accepting the valuation from the home report (in Scotland) and that is £22,500 higher than our verbally accepted offer.

Is there any hope??

Many thanks

None of what you have said is an automatic dealbreaker with Halifax.

Be sure that Halifax realise the actual purchase price, as this is what has to be keyed on and the loan to value based upon.

    Good luck
