Swap rates rising
OK, i'm no expert on this but it looks like swap rates are rising quite quickly now. http://www.clpuk.com/ The brokers on here will know better than me if that's filtered through to mortgage offers yet. But I would imagine it will quite soon, so best grab those 4.34% fixes while you can, wouldn't you think?

Quit...? or Move...?
I'm desperate to move house and we're currently in the process of decluttering our flat to prepare to sell. It's not a very quick thing though as there are some minor renovations to do to make it saleable, and there is some complicated legal paperwork to get to grips with before we can sell... that's disregarding finding a…

Endowment Complaint & Data Protection
Not sure if this question is relevant in this forum... But I'll ask anyway. Does anyone know how long a company has to release my file, once it has been asked for in writing? I was under the impression that data protection laws and freedom of information laws entitled me to my file... Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Use London & Country for Remortgaging
I can highly recommend L&C - they provide a promt service - mostly done online so no lenghty forms to fill in, and they dont charge a penny for their services! John Charcol quoted me a mortgage, along with their £350 fee. L&C can get me the exact same deal and I dont have to pay the £350 brokers' fee, plus L&C seem to be…

Mortgage searches on moneysupermarket.com
Does anyone know why when I do a 'Right To Buy' mortgage search on moneysupermarket.com the monthly payments come out at almost DOUBLE compared to a straight-forward 'First Time Buyer' mortgage search? Are RTB borrowers considered more risky or something just because they are council flat dwellers?
