Remortgaging and changing job at the same time!

I would very much appreciate advice from people:
I am up for remortgaging on the 1st July, with the same lender (Nationwide) but another fixed rate deal after my current fix lapses.
As it happens I am starting a new job on the first of June. My salary is slightly better than I am on now, but would you recommend putting in my application before the first of June, and not mentioning the job move, or waiting till I am in the new job and applying then?
FYI, the LTV is about 45%.
Many thanks for your help!

I don't see a way round this situation. They will find out about your change in circumstances if you don't do anything till July and then remortgage. It will look as if you witheld information . If you apply now you should mention your future circumstances if there is anywhere on the form to do so. Once you change jobs you should mention these changes in circumstances.
I could not find the T&C of Nationwide. You should consider trying to find your own copy and check out your obligations.
I would not have thought that a seemless change in employer would make any difference to them lending.
Good luck and best wishes in your new job. Try and leave on the best of terms in your old job. You never know what the future holds!

If you were making an application to a different lender you would need to fill in the form honeslty and will no doubt be asked how long you have been in your current job etc.
When you are just changing schemes with your existing lender they don't normally ask for details of your employment history.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
