Hi,
I would be very grateful if someone could give me a personal recommendation for a whole of market Mortgage Broker in the Birmingham area. Suffice to say that I'm a firm believer in word of mouth advertising.
Many thanks in advance.

I can recommend London & Country, they are listed in Martin's Mortgage Guide. They do not charge a brokers fee and are truly whole of market. They offer superb service and most of the work is done online so no lengthy forms for you to fill in. I've just used them to remortgage. Good luck!stay lucky!

But unless they have changed the way they do business- they only operate on a telephone basis, so you can't deal with them on a face-to-face basis.
But, each to their own and if it suits.
SSI am a fee charging WoM Mortgage broker.I now no longer give information and opinion within the Mortgage boards, because a number of posters who, having approached me professionally, agreed my fee-which has been been made very clear at the outset, taken my advice (normally cancelling a [home visit] meeting at short notice) have then approached one of the fee-free brokers on here to arrange the very same deal I have advised.Whilst I totally concur with the ethos of "money saving"- abusing the goodwill of a professional who provides a quality service is taking it too far! :mad:0 -

L & C, undeniable good quality, most of the time, but everyone shops there.
Small and friendly boutiques for the more discerning consumer, who like being looked after while they shop, by a friendly and experienced owner, who go's to great lengths to get their customer what they would really likeI am a Mortgage Adviser
