Best Tariff to Park Your Number?
Hi All, I've just request my PAC number from CPW, but I can't see a deal out there on any network that I'd want to take at the moment. I just want to get away from CPW and park my current number in a cheap, PAYG sim. In your experience which tariff would be the best for this? One that I could get a PAC for very quickly.…

Where do I stand with this O2 contract?
In February my contract was up for renewal with O2 online. I phoned them and they told me that the handset I wanted Nokia 6500 Slide was out of stock and that I should go to one of their stores to get it. So off I went to the local store. The guy put me on the phone to O2 online who took details etc. I asked for a 12 month…

Beware calling roaming sim card numbers.
Roaming sim cards such Sim4Travel are often based in places like the Channel Islands. You will get a number that starts 00447, just like a UK mobile number. You will be able to receive incoming calls free in much of Europe on cards like these BUT your friends to whom you give the number may not thank you. They will think…

Internet cost question.
I'm on Vodafone £7.50 per month at the moment, I go on internet 3/4 times a day to check my email and very occasionally send one. Would it be cheaper to pay as I go, rather than the package? I'm not sure how costs are worked out. Thanks

my stupid friend
I just posted this in the techie threads, but on second thoughts this is probably the more appropriate place. Apologies for duplication... suppose I had a friend who bought a 16gb iphone in the US a few months ago, and unlocked it using ziphone, and had been using it quite happily with an O2 pay monthly sim. Signed up to T-Mobile's Flext recently? Check your bill, you might be missing out
I've been on Flext 30 for a couple of months after renewing my contract, and when my latest bill came, it said at the top "Flext 30 gives you £90 of allowance to use as you wish" (or words to that effect) - but on the web site, it currently says Flext 30 = £140 of allowance. So, I queried this and was told it's due to…

I want a cheap mobile which I can unlock cheaply (ideally free!). All the cheap Nokia's about at the moment for <£15 seem to be not easily unlocked (see sticky thread) as they are all BB5 (no idea what that means, except only network provider can unlock). Purpose of the phone is to take on holiday or on a night on the beer…
