Hi all,
Just got off the phone to o2 after a complaint i have had for 8 months it is now sorted and givin a goodwill gesture of £150 pound added to my account. i asked if i could use this towards a new phone and was told this is fine, i was put through to the upgrades where i was informed they have an offer on the nokia 95 8g for just £99.99 this is what they call a re-box means it is a phone that is sent back within the 14 days of a new contract stll comes with all the warranty.
Just though it may come in handy for someone out there down side is you have to have a contract with o2 already and you can only buy 1 per contract i. be quick though she said it is until the stock goes.
so in a nutshell

£99.99inc vat for the nokia N95 8g
No new contract( but must already have a contract with 02)
so as long as you dont mind it being a re-boxed phone then call them on 0800 005 005 and say you want to know what offers there are on the re-boxed phones

thankyou

  • If it is split new you could probably sell it on ebay for more than £99.99.

I just dont like it - I have the Sony k810i and it works faster and easier to use - the keys on the sony are a nightmare. The n95 I expected a lot more from it - I had previously had the Nokia 6280 which too was slider phone but was very easy to use, it was what I based my decision to get the n95.

The n95 disappoints me because of the battery like, the usuability, the problem with menus which are not as intituitive as the k810i in that you install a game or app, the k810i immediately prompts to start that app - the n95 sticks an icon somewhere else and you have to twaddle around menus to get there to start the app - wasting time when you have multiples apps.

Its disappointing I expected it to be improvement on 6280 alas Nokia you let me down - I would rather have the 6280 back if I could (tried to buy it once from ebay having sold my own in haste on ebay too).

Uploading data to the N95 from pc - slower than k810i - it also requires that you install Nokia pc suite, the sony plugs and plays.
And on 6280 (Symbian s40 rather than s60 n95, should have checked) I am sure you could run an app or game without installing it - the n95 (like sony k810i) you have to install the app first and waste time on it.
