Boiler is fine, strange issues with central heating
I live in a flat (2nd story) and the boiler in the kitchen produces lovely hot water, which I presume heats up the water in the big insulated cylinder in my cupboard. The boiler in question is a glow worm. It is a white rectangular box with a small round port hole showing the pilot light in it. boiler:…

Shower/Toilet quote.
Had three quotes recently. The first one was for £4600, everything as I had asked, but not itemised, and no advice. The second chap said No No No nobody has it done like that and recommended a much simpler design again including shower, close coupled toilet and wash basin., verbal guess £2000, still no seperate labour…

No gas, no oil :(
Hi all, we have a problem. We have just moved into a small 3 bed semi. Unfortunately, to access the house we need to cross the neighbour's land. British Gas
I know BG get some very bad press and perhaps sometimes it is warranted. However we took out a maintenance agreement with them to cover our Electric, Plumbing and Central Heating etc. On Sunday we had no heating and no hot water. We called their service line and someone came out by 3pm the same day. Unfortunately they had…

Blockage in central heating system - best way to clear it ??
Hi, just had the plumber round to try and fix my central heating system as the rads are not heating up. The boiler works, provides hot water, pump works, rads bled and valve to open up the CH circuit works. Portable gas heaters
Hi On the TV yesterday it said that we might get power cuts this year if we get a severe winter, that the national grid might struggle to provide enough power. Since we have no gas fire and the central heating won't work without electric its going to be really chilly if we get a power cut. We have gas hobs on the cooker…

Hot Water and Heater Advice
Hi, I have a problem with my heating system and I am not sure what to do.
