British Gas

I know BG get some very bad press and perhaps sometimes it is warranted. However we took out a maintenance agreement with them to cover our Electric, Plumbing and Central Heating etc.

On Sunday we had no heating and no hot water. We called their service line
and someone came out by 3pm the same day. Unfortunately they had to order a new part and came back today and fitted it.

For us they were brilliant and a big thank you to them.

Thats been my experience as well, but others have posted that they have nothing but problems; I just wish they weren't so expensive!

I think it is the 'insurance' against breakdowns that attract most people.

Thanks so much for that, I work for BG and just wish that people could be more appreciative of us. We get so much criticism yet people rarely mention all the good things we do and the times when we get it right even though, these occasions vastly out number the times when things go wrong. To those of us who work for the company and often get nothing but abuse from the customers we deal with, a simple thank you makes all the difference so thank you very much for saying thank you. We really do appreciate it!!!

After paying for Homecare 400 with BG this year I've more than made my money back. My Toilet blocked and they had to cut the pipe outside to release pressure, my dimmer switch failed and was replaced and a socket was replaced. Also a socket went in my kitchen after moisture got in and blew it. This was replaced and my electrics checked out the next day. Wonder what will go next?

what is covered in relation to blocked toilets with bg homecare 400?

is there an equal but less expensive alternative to bg for this cover?
