However, i have an uncle in Greece who has said that he will lend me the money interest free if i wish. Taking out a loan for a deposit on a house?
Currently I have about 5% deposit saved but I need to have 15% for the self cert mortage I need. Would it be a bad idea to take out a loan to reach the 15% deposit I need? If I was to continue to save I'd have the full 15% deposit in 5 - 6 months but my main concern is how fast prices are rising in my area. Northern…

Loan as a result of bank charges
Has anyone taken out a loan in part due to escalating bank charges? Is it worth including this in my correspondence with Lloyds when requesting my bank charges back? Obviously it contributes to loan interest repayments. And what is fair to ask for? Thank you

A big loan is finally repaid!

We have just repaid it! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6215847.stm Thanks to our American and Canadian friends who did not have to help us then, but did, despite there being a very good chance…

HSBC Managed Loan - Anyone Heard of/Had One?
I was talked into getting this 'managed loan' from HSBC 3 years ago. I pay £90 a month on £5,300 and after 3 years of paying it I've only paid off £415! I pay on average £71 a month interest and I was never 'told' that I wouldn't be able to get any credit just because I had this loan. I was told it was my best option at…
