I was going to put the new money into the exisiting ISA, then transfer the lot to a new ISA in Oct 2013. I now realise that I can't do this (pay into two different ISAs in the…

Halifax 3 Year Fixed Rate ISA - Depositing Money
I opened the above ISA and plan to deposit £5760 into this account and use my full entitlement for 2013/14. According to the Halifax website, the only way to add funds is either via a transfer or by standing order. As this is a one off transaction a standing order doesn't seem to make sense. Can I not add the money via…

Can I still make use of my Santander 3% Account?
I opened a Santander Instant Access ISA in August 2012, filled it to the maximum £5640, the rate is 3% until July 2013. Now when I'm logged into this account online it states I can still contribute £5760 (this ISA year's allocation). My questions are :- If I put £5760 into it now (using my 2013/14 allocation), will it…

Pay Into Old or New ISA?
Trying to search for similar threads in this forum is a nightmare so I'll start my own. I have a fixed rate ISA containing roughly £21 000 (at 3.6% - those were the days) that has now dropped to 1%. As ISA interest rates are twelve shades of monkfish at the moment, I think it best to wait it out to see if someone…

M&S to Santander transfer mess-up (Santander please read)
Between the two of these organisation they have managed to mess up the same transfer twice. I'm just not sure who is wrong, or even who is telling porkies, or whether there is some sort of error in the system. The transfer form was completed on the phone at the same time as opening the 123 Major ISA. It was at that time to…

Buying into ISAs
I want to start an ISA. Does it have to be a lump sum or can I pay in a monthly sum? If I can pay a monthly sum, does it have to be the same amount each (e.g. £200) or can the sum vary (e.g. £100 one month, £250 next month, £150 another month)?

What happens to old cash isa if I open a new one?
Hi guys, Okay, I opened my first ISA on Friday before the deadline. So, now I am unsure about the following: - If I can spare the cash, can I open a brand new cash isa and just leave the last cash isa as it is, and if so, what happens to the old isa money? Does it still accrue interest if I decide to leave and open another…
