Hi, I currently have 2 cash ISA's with Halifax (1 x 2yr ISA which has finished now, and also 1 x 1yr ISA that has also just finished). Can someone tell me how I would go about transferring them into 1 new ISA for this year with Halifax? I see endless amounts of info and help on their site about transferring from a…

Halifax mess up 0.2% bonus on ISA Reward
I was due to get my interest of my Halifax cash ISA today. Was expecting 3.2%, but only received 3%. I fulfilled all the conditions for the 0.2% bonus. Rang up and asked why, and was told it was because I'd redesignated to the ISA Online a month ago. I had to, otherwise i'd have been earning 0.5% for a month. However i did…

NS&I Direct ISA - Maximum Allowed?
I've just gone into our NS&I Direct ISAs to put the first payment of our 2012/13 allowance in. The Home page details about their ISA says "Investing your money in a cash ISA allows you to save up to £5,640 in the 2012/13 tax year " which was my understanding. However, when I went to my account and attempted to make a…

New Cash ISA - can I cancel it?
Hi, I made a bit of a mistake by applying online to open an cash ISA for the new tax year's subscription. (To open it I need to post the signed form and a cheque.) But I've since heard about the new Nationwide ISA which is a better rate and instant access. As I haven't sent off the form or cheque for the other ISA yet,…

Transferring & Opening Isas
Hi everyone I am looking to transfer money (From a previous year's ISA) to a Santander Direct ISA Issue 9 (3.3%), but also I am looking to open this rather nice Nationwide Flexclusive ISA (4.25%?), which I qualify for, but doesn't allow transfers. Is it possible to do both, knowing I can only put in money into one of these…

Nationwide e-ISA won't allow me to top up
Well its the new tax year and I went to top up my Nationwide e-ISA online by transfer from my Flex Account and it wouldn't let me. A message came up saying I didn't pay anything in last year and I would have to fill in a renewal form. This wasn't correct as I did make a payment to Nationwide last year, but because I…

Hello I have the full subs from last tax yr paid into the Cheshire BS ISA. The 3.5% offer seems to have been reinstated now and I'm wondering can I pay this full yr subs into the same account and get the 3.5% or would I have to apply for and fund another account with them? If it's a different account I assume in total it…

Withdrawing money from ISA before interest paid
If i have money in a Santander ISA that allows me to withdraw cash at any time, would I still get the interest. Eg if I decide to withdraw it all after 6 months, would I get the 6 months of interest or would I miss out on all the interest as its only paid at the end of the 12 months?

Why call it stocks and shares ISA
I was just wondering, ISAs are divided into cash ISA and stocks and shares ISA. Why call it stocks and shares? - they are the same thing, its not as if you are able to buy 2 separate entities. It would easier (and perhaps less confusing to some) to call it shares ISA. As it stands, you can put into it a lot more stuff,…
