NS&I Direct ISA - Maximum Allowed?
Oblivion

I've just gone into our NS&I Direct ISAs to put the first payment of our 2012/13 allowance in.
The Home page details about their ISA says "Investing your money in a cash ISA allows you to save up to £5,640 in the 2012/13 tax year " which was my understanding. However, when I went to my account and attempted to make a payment by debit card it said the maximum transaction I could do is £5,340 ... a difference of £300.
Is this just a typo on their part or am I missing something here?

The maximum is £5640. Maybe they have not updated their systems yet. You can call them and ask them what to do.0

I'm a bit slow today and I've just realised that £5340 was last year's maximum, so yes, it does seem as if they've not updated the processing page yet.
It's not a problem for me as I only had £2,500 to put in for now anyway and I dare say they will have corrected their website by the time I can afford more.
I expect the new tax year starting on a bank holiday will be to blame, with no staff to update things.... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0
