Natwest eISA application rejection
Hi guys, Ive just tried to register online for an e-USA but as soon as I confirm my details it says my application has been rejected due to my personal details. Does anyone know why this may be the case? I'm a British citizen, live in London, am 23 years old and have a job. The only thing I can think of is that I have a…

Natwest 3.5% (Min £30k)
Hi all, I was under the impression ISA's had a fixed cash limit of around £5000 per tax year, with the 2012 / 2013 limit being £5,640. However, on the "cash isa transfers" page of this web site (MSE slash savings slash cash-isa-transfers) it lists a Natwest account that has a minimum investment of £30,000! How can that be…

5% one-year fix, Nottingham BS?
Hi everyone. I've seen a very good rate at the Nottingham BS - 5% fixed until the end of this tax year, and I can save up to £470 per month. However, I'd like to check I'm not missing something before I apply. Do any problems leap out at anyone? http://www.thenottingham.com/savings/starter-isa-issue-2/

can you put money into an old ISA?
An over 65 retired couple each had an ISA with £2500 in each ISA. The £2500 from the wife's ISA was paid into the husbands ISA before the end of the tax year then a new ISA was opened in the husbands name transferring in the £5000 plus interest, leaving an ISA in the wife's name with nothing in it. Can money still be paid…

Newsletter ISA question
In the latest newsletter there's this bullet point: Warning - stop any ISA direct debits now, or you'll auto-start one next year. Cancel any regular payments into this year's ISA unless you want to be subscribed for next year with that provider. But in other places on the website I get the gist that even if you do pay into…

Santander ISA 2012-2012... something fishy....
I applied for the new Santander Direct Cash ISA 3.3% 2012-2013 and they have emailed me the documents, I've read their 'Savings User Guide - SAV 0463' and in the ISA section it says interest paid on "Annually after close of business on 1 March". Shouldn't they be paying the interest in April, if they pay it in March that…

Cash ISA limits
Hi all, I opened a cash ISA in 2010 with the full amount permitted at the time. Since then, I've done nothing with it, and it's obviously now dropped to the basic interest rate. So I'm looking to move it to get a higher rate. I keep reading that you can only put £5640 into a new cash ISA. However, I've also seen…

ISA Query
Hi, I would be grateful if anyone could provide some clarity on the following. If I put £5,640.00 in my ISA account this year and Next year I put also another £5,640.00. Does that mean that I will earn interest on only £5,640.00 or £11,280.00? Thank you, Jack

Transferring ISA from Halifax to Santander questions
I'm planning to transfer an ISA from Halifax to Santander. I realise it might not matter as the sort code/account number are the key details but on the Santander ISA transfer form do I put the address of a local Halifax branch or is there a central Halifax ISA related postal address? My Halifax ISA statements don't include…

Natwest E-ISA
Hey all, I logged into my natwest online banking today and saw offer for ISA, so thought I'd use this years allowance with it. Signed up etc, gave me no options to choose amount to fund, said it should take 4-5 days to open. Anyone else got this? seems awful slow, as my barclays one was open instantly last year I cant even…

Consolidating 2 ISAs from previous years
I have 2 ISAs from previous years, one with Halifax from several years ago and one with Santander from last year. Is it possible to move both of them at once into the same, new ISA (the bonus periods for both of them have just finished)? And if so, how? Would it be best to speak to branch staff rather than do it online?…

How much interest would you lose by delaying for 1 week?
I know compared to a years worth of interest, it's going to be minimal, but still, i'm just asking. I usually like to deposit the full whack on Apr 6th & have done for the past few years. I could go for Santander 1yr fixed for £5640 today at 3.5%. For reasons explained here:…

Adding to a Nationwide e-isa?
Because my Nationwide e-isa was opened before July 2011 there is a bonus that makes the interest 3.1% until 31 Oct 2012. So what I'd like to know is whether any money added to it in this tax year (2012/13) will have the rate of 3.1% or will it be at the post July 2011 rate of 1.75%?

Santander flexible isa 3
I opened this account on 2/5/11, the rate was guaranteed to be 2.8% above bank base rate for 12 months, effectively a 3.3% fixed rate as it turned out. I have now had a letter advising the 12 months ends on 2/5/12 and also states ' at maturity, a 12 month variable bonus will apply'. Given that I have already received…

So whats better ? Is it correct that the Natwest…

Nationwide Unfair Discrimination
It's a disgrace that Nationwide Building Society is discriminating against its members in low paid and part time employment. If you're a member using its flexaccount as your main bank account you're not eligible for the new higher interest ISA unless you earn about £10,000 or more a year. The low paid are the group which…
