Nationwide Unfair Discrimination
Slim
It's a disgrace that Nationwide Building Society is discriminating against its members in low paid and part time employment. If you're a member using its flexaccount as your main bank account you're not eligible for the new higher interest ISA unless you earn about £10,000 or more a year.
The low paid are the group which finds it hard to save and need the most encouragement yet Nationwide exclude them.
A disgrace.

Do they actually require that £750 comes as salary ? Maybe you can just transfer it in and out from an external savings account (which works for various other current accounts).0

I have a Flexaccount and work part time, my salary is less than £750 per month but DH transfers some money to my account each month which takes me above this level. I have a loan with Nationwide and to qualify for that the minimum deposit of £750 also applies. So yes, you can transfer money in from an external account.0 -
The advice already given is sound; channelling funds from other accounts to your NW Flex to make up the minimum should do.
Perhaps if one lives in London then p/t income of 10k+ would be more achievable. I work 17.5 hrs p/w and earn well over that, though the rent takes almost half of it! :mad:0
