Vote for Kazza!
I've noticed that the Kazza's invaluable Mini Cash ISAs: The Best ISAs currently available List thread is slipping again, meaning a new person might miss it. I hope I'm not alone in thinking it should be made a sticky? On the parent forum it's been suggested that a max of 5 stickies be allowed, and we've only got 3. Hope…

Equity ISA
Hello, I have several equity ISA,s (technology sector!!), that were bought pre year 2000, that have just about gone into the black for the first time and I am at a loss to know what to do with them right now. I want, if possible, to keep the tax free advantages of ISA but feel nervous about staying in equity's with the…

ISA Legalities Advice
I opened an ISA in branch in March this year (for last year's allowance 2006-07), I signed all the paperwork in the branch and assumed (perhaps stupidly) that this would be dealt with. I've now had a letter from the building society to say that as they have not received the paperwork that they will switch this to a normal…

Moving ISA's and Opening new ones
 I have had an ISA for a few years and want to move it. I also want to get a good rate for this year, but most of the good rates are for new ISA's without transfers in. Am I allowed to open a new ISA (with a good rate) and also to transfer my current ISA to another scheme with a better rate than I have at the…

16 year olds and cash ISAs
Can anyone please advise on how my 16 year old can open a cash ISA. He would like to pay in the full £3000 from his builiding society savings account. NS&I who currently have the best paying cash ISA say you must be at least 16 and have a current account and debit card in the investor's name. I was 19 before I had a bank…

Confused about ISA
I have a maxi ISA with Abbey that I took out in July 2000 supposedly to pay off my mortgage. I orignally paid £90 per month and at some stage increased it to £100 per month. I'll sound totally stupid but I didn't really realise that there was any risk of the ISA going down in value abd I don't think this was ever explained…

Hi. I've got 3k in a cash ISA out of last years allowance and this year I'm tempted to invest in a stocks & shares ISA. Is it worth putting money into a…

Transferring Cash ISA's to S&S ISA's in 2008
If i've understood things correctly, HMG is going to allow you to transfer funds from previous years Cash ISA accounts to S&S ISA accounts (which would work out quite nicely for me !) from April 2008. Have I got that right, and if so, does anyone know where I could find out a few more details, as I have to give a bit of…

I've got both Maxi and Mini ISA for this year. what happens?
I've recently taken out a Mini cash ISA with egg, I then realized that I’ve been putting a small amount of money each month £25 into a shares ISA, so I thought I should check what sort it was. When I checked I discovered that it was a Maxi ISA. I've therefore got both a Mini and a Maxi going for this year. I know you…

ISAs with guranteed rates?
I currently have my ISA with if, i liked them because they track the base rate. Seems now though that a few ISAs are paying above the base rate. Do any of them track above the base rate like icesave? With two more rises likely by early next year I don't want the bother of having to move multiple times. Any suggestions?
