Non fault claim & Drive Assist - help!
Hi all, When did car insurance claims become so confusing? My car was hit over the weekend whilst parked outside a friends house; fortunately the 3rd party left a note with their details for me to find (i hadn't expected that!). In my simple mind, i thought a simple call to my insurer, Santander, and it'd all get sorted…

Contents/Buildings cover renewal
I got a letter in at the weekend with my renewal quote for the buildings and contents insurance with the Halifax and was shocked that even though I have 3 years NCD it went up to £41 per month from £38. The total was something like £500 for the year. Wnet onto their website for a new quote and also Comeparethemarket and…

Accident in camper van, will it affect car ncd?
In my camper van, I backed into someone in a car park, and had to claim as it was a new Audi [sigh!]. My camper van is under a specialist policy - will the scrape in this screw up my car NCD or being a different type of vehicle, can it stay separate? I have (or maybe had) 9 years NCD, so it is worth a lot!

Statistics on no fault accidents
Several insurance advocates on here always claim you should be penalised for being in a no fault accident, as you'll then have a fault accident. But no-one can ever link to any proof. So a simple poll, and we'll see what the result is.

Home insurance - when is a room not a bedroom?
What defines a bedroom for insurance companies? Is it a room that isn't a public room, kitchen or bathroom, or is a room defined by its size or its purpose?!

Leasehold building insurance - new owner making a claim after the event
Hi, Not sure the answer here but hoping this may be possible. We recently moved into a new leasehold flat. Prior to us, there was some sort of water damage (leak) in bathroom and bedroom. This appears to have happened several months before we moved in. There is mould and some minor structural damage, however may be more as…

Life Assurance Policies
My Mum died recently and she had 5 policies. One of them was 68 years old and the other 4 were between 25 - 28 years old. I was really surprised at just how little the sum was that the company said would be paid out - 2993 altogether. It was hardly worth her paying them all those years. Sal
