Tesco Home Insurance Rip Off
I am fuming. I had used insurance comparison sites for my home insurance and been quoted between £107 and £220 for similar cover. I saw the Tesco site and it says: Get your quote for Tesco Home Insurance between 3rd April and 30th April 2008 and get a 50% discount when you buy. I got the quote for £240 and bought today. I…

Period a House was Built
The house we are purchasing was built approx. late 70's and this falls into the 1949 to 1979 on category on Tesco. However if I select the 1980 to 1989 the premium is £50 cheaper. Could I really get out by this if I went for the eighties option? Seems unfair to have such a broad band for earlier than this.

Avoid Smart People Budget
Mid way through my insurance term I changed my car in February from a top of the market Golf 2.8 litre to a base model Hyundai 1.1 and these guys actually increased the premium, and added a further £25 admin fee into the bargain! Their excuse at the time was that it was a newer car. I recently carried out a price…

Mortgage company insurance charge
In light of the recent unfair bank charges decision I think I might have a new challenge for Martin. We are currently changing our mortgage company and they are going to charge us £25 simply because we aren't going to use "their insurance". Now I have highlighted "their insurance" because they don't actually provide the…
