Contents Insurance Living with Parents!

Hi,
Can anyone help please!
I live with my partners' parents, as we aren't able to afford to rent privately as yet.
My problem is contents insurance for myself, partner and little girl. Is there an insurance company that will quote for someone in my situation?
The house had subsidence 10 years ago, I looked and Endsleigh and they wouldn't give cover because of the subsidence.
Any other thoughts anyone?!
Thanks

I can see why an insurance firm would have worries about subsidence if building insurance is proposed but I am suprised that they woud have the same problems with contents insurance in a house that had problems 10 years ago.
I have retired from a career in Financial Services........Thank God. Any advice given may be as a result of senile dementia so dont take it too seriously.......;)
