Does this look like asbestos?
Good morning forumers! We have an old pergola in the back garden which I intend to remove. The previous owner of our house decided to cover it with what looks like 4x corrugated cement roofing sheets (not a good look). They’re roughly 2000mm x 750mm in size. Aware that this can contain asbestos, I’m wondering if it is…

MarketBanter
I was looking for a Dyson Trigger handheld vac. It is around £200 on all the well known websites, but google threw up a link to MarketBanter, where it's only £150-ish, plus there's a code for an extra 13% off. So, that brings it down to around £130. Has anyone dealt with MarketBanter? It seems a bit too good to be true.…

Question for Estate Agents
Our house is detached, one side has about 6ft to the fence to the house next door and the other side is a lot bigger, around 16 ft to the hedge of a field. We hardly ever use the smaller side so I would like to extend into it, would this de value our house if you can’t get round both sides?

Shower arm sheared off. HELP!
Hello DIYers In my attempt to remove a shower arm from the wall, it sheared off leaving part of the shower arm still in the brass thread in the wall. I have tried using a nipple extractor, hacksaw parallel to the remaining thread, but no joy. It could be liquid PTF that has made it bond really tight. I am loathe to use any…

How to tell which ceramic cartridge needs replacing?
The tap in the kitchen is one where the water comes out of the same spout for hot and cold but the hot and cold have their individual turning levers on either side. External Wall Insulation (how to do?)
I am in process of getting external Wall Insulation done. My neighbour has done it couple of years ago and advised me that I take off existing rendering, go to brick level, spray/wash bricks and then put Insulation board. This sounds like a good idea given that I don't have enough gap between neighbour house, window sill,…

Questions to ask when getting a patio
Hi, I'm in the process of getting some quotes for a new patio to replace a decking. I'm wondering what sort of questions I should ask when companies visit to quote? Hi, we have a gas hob and electric oven, both from Bosch. The oven is broken and needs replacement. Could I take any brand? Are the oven and hob completely independent?
