Should I Buy a Dyson?
Are they worth it? I have no problem spending however much for one, however, for that amount of money, i want it to actually work. I have quite a thick pile carpet, and i've so far used a cheapo asda vacuum cleaner, an Elctrolux and a henry. None of them were all that good at getting into the pile, but Henry is probably…

The house we are renovating to live in has a cooker hood which I'm hoping to use as part of the new kitchen, to save a bit on costs, but it does have some light scratches around the small control buttons, looks like they have used a brillo pad or something to clean it in the past. Any ideas for removing these scratches,…

Average room humidity? Hygrometer q.

Electric or cylinder shower?

Damp in Exterior & Interior Walls - Advice needed!
Hi All, I am just about to put in an offer on a 3 bed cottage. The outside exterior wall has concrete rendering on it in some places apparently to stop the damp penetrating. The inside has damp as you can smell it in the air. The house was brick-built circa 1800 (walls 9" thick) and so probably doesn't have a damp course.…
