How much to fit and buy real wood floor?

I've just bought a house (my first) and the living room has no carpet as the previous owner took it away with them.
Do you guys know - just roughly - how much to:
Fit and install real wood flooring? (inc. cost of wood)
Room is 5metres by 4 metres.
Thanks

It really depends what wood you choose.
A rough guide: £30-40 per sq m for wood, £15-20 sq m labour. I'm in London and the guy gave me mates rates and that was £12 per square metre for fitting.0 -
So - wood about £200
and
Labour - £100
Obviously depending on what wood and everything else. Just wanted a rough idea.Amo L'Italia0 -
Your calculator is broken old son.

Don't forget underlay / a waterproof membrane if floor is concrete0
-
And the cost of the finishing trims, quadrant etc. or some new skirting boards (best method).0
-
You have 20 sq metres in your room, so your floor would cost about £650, labour 300, plus don't forget underlay (can't be found cheap and so can DPM) and beading if you're keeping the skirting.0

Wood floor - anywhere from £15 - £100 pre m2 just for the product.
Installed onto a wood floor, or a concrete slab?
You have 20m2 to (5m x 4m) I would bank on it costing about £100 per m2 if onto concrete, or £80 per m2 if onto wood.
You will be able to get that cost down, but it's a good "ball park" figure.
Laminate anywhere from £20 - £80/m2 depending on products used. But cheap laminate is cheap laminate,Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0 -
Just clicked that someone would take their carpet when they move! Really? Yuk!0

You could get engineered wood, cheaper to install0
