Two weeks ago I bought 22mm (thats a fairly thick board) pine tongue and groove floor boards from a timber merchant and it cost 98p / metre ( inc. vat). You needed 9 linear metres to make 1 square metre. So by my calculation you need 180 metres of board = £177
Labour - no idea as I fitted it myself0 -
Retail prices of wooden floors are outrageous. Buy online. If you want a company name, PM me. I would suggest engineered that clicks together, which is easy to install. It just has a thin layer of wood on top but can be sanded about 5 times. It looks fine. You also need the underlay.
It looks much better if you take the skirting off and put new ones on.Je suis sabot...0
