If you have a multi room installation can both boxes be Sky+ boxes ? With one of them running on a multi-room subscription and one on the main sub? I know about the extra wiring and hardware needs for the two decoders was just wondering what the sub limitations are.

Hiya :) We're hoping to buy a house soon and we have a list of things we want to do to it :) but we've just realised we don't know which of them are just for us and what improvements would add value to the house etc is there a website that helps, or very clever people on here that can add some guidance? This will be our…

Cleaning windows?
I live on the 4th floor of a block of flats. The management company won't pay to get the windows cleaned. The windows are velux ones with some kind of safety catch on them so that you can't open them more than 10cm. I don't think there's any way to release the safety catch without damaging it permanently. Anyone have any…

Changing Bosch washer brushes
How easy are they to do on a WFF 1401. We think it's the brushes as the machine is filling up OK but the drum isn't moving. Husband is wondering about trying to do them but he's not changed them on this machine before. It will cost us £30 for the brushes today but we're not sure whether to wait until I can get the washer…

hot water in the cold water?????
SOMETIMES when I put the cold water tap on in the bath, hot water comes out for a wee while then goes cold. Is this a bad thing? It's gas heating we have if that makes any difference. Don't know if it connected but if we don't switch the hot water on and the heating has been on all day that seems to heat the water up too…

Cheapest material for under flags ?????
We have a very damp back garden. It has got worse in the 10 years we have lived here. We now have a large amount of flags, which the neighbour gave us when he put block paving down. The patio we have, has what looks like grit underneath. We will be taking up the lot, and will have in total, about 30 flags to put down. We…

Help for installing a shower enclosure please.
We were so lucky to have got a lovely, very expensive, shower enclosure form our local Freecycle. I have never got anything from there (must be too slow) Everything is there, except the screws and wallplugs. Is there anything we should watch out for, when me and hubby put it in next week? Should be a laugh. We're the sort…

fitted kitchen units - made of real wood?
There are hundreds of fitted kitchen brands and suppliers, and almost all offer units (ie carcases), whether rigid or flatpack, made of chipboard or similar remanufactured wood-product - with doors of the same stuff with a vinyl or veneer coating. These materials are cheap. A substantial proportion of the cost of such…

Roof problem - advice please!
Our 1920's detached house has rain coming into the bedroom. It seems to be a problem around the chimney which needs stripping back and repairing. We've established the roof doesn't have any felt. Just replacing kitchen unit doors
Hi everyone Does anyone have any experience of doing this? I told a builder that I'd like to do this and he sucked his teeth in a builder kind of way and told me that it would be more expensive than buying a new kitchen because the doors have to be custom made and something to do with the hinges being different on all…
