Valuation - how much would you offer?
Hi I'm looking at placing an offer on a property with an asking price of 'offers over £180,000. I don't know how much to offer though as just dumping the price by 10% may only annoy the current owner (its been his cherish family home for 37 years). Just a valuation or Homebuyers report?
We've had an offer accepted on a property which is fairly recently built, around 20 years ago. Our mortgage broker has said to us its up to us if we do the Homebuyers survey, but generally said its not needed if the property is not a lot older. So, I'm a first-time buyer, and so I am a little clueless when it comes to the practicalities and expectations, even after having done research.
